Evening Blue Hardie siding, new asphalt roof, Sagiper cedar-style soffit, new front gable, and two new decks. Built as one coordinated envelope over four months.
The home had the bones, the lot, and the location of a strong Bearspaw acreage property. The exterior had aged unevenly. Siding, roofline, soffit, and architectural details were all working in different decades.
The rear of the home looked dated against a backyard worth showing off. The front lacked the architectural moment the property deserved. The owner did not want one upgrade. They wanted the whole exterior to feel resolved.
New James Hardie fibre cement siding in Evening Blue across the upper elevation, paired with a painted brick treatment on the lower wall. The siding became the visual anchor that tied the rest of the exterior together.
A new asphalt shingle roof reset the building's longest-running protection layer. New Sagiper cedar-style soffit replaced the dated cladding under the eaves and added warmth and depth to the new façade. New fascia and gutters finished the roofline cleanly.
The window package was upgraded across the home for better light, cleaner exterior lines, and a more current proportion. A new front gable was added to the entry to give the home a stronger sense of arrival. New garage doors swapped the original white panels for a contemporary dark finish that lands cleanly against the Evening Blue siding.
Two new decks were built: a covered rear main-level deck with a cedar-finished ceiling, and a second-storey upper deck overlooking the property. The backyard became a true outdoor living space. Basement window wells were addressed as part of the complete exterior.
Start to finish: four months, April through July 2025. Total investment: $185,000.

From the street, a confident, current acreage home with a clear sense of arrival. From the yard, a back elevation with two new outdoor living levels, treated to the same standard as the front. Every angle reads as finished.
Earning trust. Transforming homes.

“We came to Sean thinking about siding. By the end we'd done the whole envelope, and that's why the result actually reads like a finished house. The front has presence. The back finally lives the way we wanted it to.”
